Orinoco River, Amazon, Colombia All Inclusive Fishing Trip Package
Fishing both the Orinoco and the Tomo, Terrecay and Mesetas rivers, is a perfect mix between world class wading class IV rapids in search of 20+ pound payara and giant sardinata on the Orinoco river, good catfish fishing and excellent opportunities at catching multiple 10-22 pound peacock bass on a variety of flies and lures.

🛬 DAY 1: Arrival to Colombia. Arrive to Bogotá. Our host will be waiting to pick you up to transfer you to the Marriot Courtyard Hotel.
🛬 🛻 DAY 2: Arrival to Puerto Carreno. The next day you will join the main guide in Bogotá – Puerto Carreno from the El Dorado Airport. At your arrival in Puerto Carreno our driver will be waiting for you to begin the 4 hour 4×4 ride down unmarked roads through natural savannah abundant of deer, tapir, pumas and anacondas until you reach the mouth of the Tomo river.
The arrival time to camp depends on what be spend in the Orinoco Camp. There is great payara fishing right at the camp.
🎣 DAYS 3, 4, 5, 6: Fishing Days. After the first days spent fishing at the Orinoco lodge, we will leave 6 am on a 3 hour 4×4 drive though the savannah to reach one of our headwaters camp where we will target specifically peacock bass.
You will transverse the beautiful rapids of the Tuparro river where you will need to walk 150 meters were the crew will drag the boats through 40 meters of dangerous but beautiful rapids.
You will be entering pristine peacock bass waters where we regularly catch peacock bass over 22 pounds.
We will reach the Tuparro camp where we will be spending the next 4 nights.
The time spent in the Tuparro will be under the protection of the local autonomous Sikuani natives.
Live with the Puinave Indians in a comfortable camp setup.
🎣🛻🛫 DAY 7: Fishing and Departure. On the 7th and last day you will fish your way down to the Tuparro river. You will fish the entire day for Peacock Bass until 4:30 p.m. where you must make your way down approximately 1 hour from the last Peacock lagoons to the Orinoco camp were you will spend the last night at camp. You can also fish half day Payara and half day Peacock.
On the last day of the trip you will depart on a 3 hour 4×4 ride back to Puerto Carreno airport to fly back to Bogota the same day.

About the Orinoco Lodge & Awia Camp, Amazon Sportfishing Package
- Freshwater season is September – April
- No cell connection on the river but guests will have access to a satellite phone if an emergency arises.
- Currency: Colombian Peso. Please make sure you bring enough to settle extra expenses in town and tips.
- Tackle is not included but rods and reels can be rented for 90 dollars a setup. All guest will be sent thorough tackle requirements in their pre trip information.
- Wilderness camping: While we try to make the camp as comfortable as possible, guests are advised that this trip is aimed to the adventurous with a bare minimum level of fitness required.

About the Transportation
- Your host will be waiting for you at the Bogota Airport and is going to take you to the Hotel and back to the Airport the next day.
- Then a domestic flight to Puerto Carreno
- Finally 4×4 trucks will take to your fishing destination.

About Orinoco River, Amazon, Colombia
This is the best venue on the planet currently for targeting trophy payara, sardinata and peacock during the same week. Every season we catch several payara over 30 pounds and many over 20 pounds as well as sardinata over 12 pounds and peacock over 20 pounds.
Here you can try all the styles and target an array of world class species found together nowhere in the world. Peacock bass in these remote rivers react very well to fly fishing with peacock in excess of 20 pounds caught every season. Great catfish fishing is also available for Jau (gilded catfish), red tail catfish (pirarara) and piraiba (valenton). Light tackle catfishing for red tail, shovel nose, wide whisker and other species is also possible.
