Flamingo Costa Rica Fishing Report, February 15th 2023
Species Caught: Mahi
Highlights: 5 mahi of 6.
Today was an excellent day for fishing at Flamingo Marina! The weather was sunny with a gentle breeze, and the water was calm and clear. We went out on a full-day fishing trip and had a great time catching fish.
We were targeting mahi mahi, and we were not disappointed. We managed to catch five mahi mahi out of six, which was a fantastic result. The fish were all of good size, ranging from 20 to 30 pounds, and they put up a great fight.
We caught the mahi mahi using a combination of live bait and lures. We found that the fish were most active in the morning and were feeding on small baitfish near the surface. We used a variety of lures, including poppers and surface plugs, and found that the fish were most responsive to brightly colored lures.
Overall, it was a successful day of fishing at Flamingo Marina. The mahi mahi were biting, and we had a great time on the water. If you’re looking to go fishing in Costa Rica, Flamingo Marina is a great place to start.
